- Services with remotely piloted aircraft equipped with 5-band multispectral cameras.
- The data capture systems consist of DJI aerial platforms (Matrice 200; 210 and 300) and Micasense cameras (Altum and Redege models).
- These small cameras, weighing no more than 360g, are equipped with five sensors that capture data in the Blue (475 nm centre, 20 nm bandwidth), green (560 nm centre, 20 nm bandwidth), red (668 nm centre, 10 nm bandwidth), red edge (717 nm centre, 10 nm bandwidth), near-IR (840 nm centre, 40 nm bandwidth) spectral bands.
- In a single flight, up to 120gb of images can be captured with a 3.2mp sensor per band (2064×1544). The minimum resolution achieved is 5.2cm per pixel with flights at 120m above ground level.
- Images are captured at constant intervals with sufficient overlap (minimum 75%) to generate a complete orthomosaic, while a point cloud is generated using photogrammetric techniques for the 3D reconstruction of the scene. At the time of capture, the angle of incidence of the sun’s rays, wind and lighting conditions are taken into account, and a white calibration is carried out on each flight.
- Multispectral images allow an assessment of the vegetation cover, with various applications in the environmental sector: assessment of the vigour of agricultural crops and forestry plantations; assessment of crop/plantation damage due to pests, diseases or water stress. Crop vitality, production problems, pests, diseases. On the other hand, these images are a relevant source of data for the automatic classification systems of vegetation cover developed by 3edata, thus allowing the semi-automatic generation of maps of vegetation, habitats, uses or land cover.
