3edata carries out the technical-administrative coordination of the REVIERTE. FOREST BIOECONOMY AND WATER MANAGEMENT AS A REVULSIVE FOR THE REACTIVATION OF THE NORTH-EASTERN REGIONS OF GRANADA.

This project is part of the initiative of the Fundación Biodiversidad, for the development of large-scale transformational projects for the promotion of the forest-based bioeconomy and the contribution to the ecological transition in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan - funded by the European Union-Next Generation EU. It involves the University of Granada as coordinator through the Andalusian Structural Wood Research Unit (UIMA) and the Biocultural Archaeology Laboratory (UGR-MEMOLab), the Structural Wood Engineering Platform (PEMADE) of the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Pablo de Olavide University through the Dendrochronology Laboratory (DendrOlavide), the Association of Forest Owners of Eastern Andalusia for the Sustainable Development and Conservation of Biodiversity (FORET), the Association for the Spanish Forest Certification (PEFC SPAIN) and the National Centre Geological and Mining Institute of Spain, Spanish National Research Council (IGME CSIC).

REVIERTE has the general objective of acting on the entire forestry value chain (forest-industry), applying an integrated forestry and hydrological management approach that values the resource of wood and water as a strategy to reverse the current dynamics of depopulation and ageing in the north-east of the province of Granada.

Specific objectives include: i) the development and implementation of a forestry model in Granada that promotes sustainable timber harvesting through active, preventive and adaptive forest management; ii) to conserve and improve Granada\'s traditional water management and governance; iii) to increase the resilience of Granada\'s forest stands and water resources to climate change.

3edata\'s work includes the coordination, technical, management, administrative and financial control of the REVIERTE project, as well as attending to and resolving the requirements requested by the Fundación Biodiversidad
