DETALLES DEL PROYECTO
3edata Environmental Engineering participated in the the project Active Conservation of Habitats and Birds through FSC certification and Land Stewardship, developed by FSC Spain with the support of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, through the Biodiversity Foundation.
The objective of this project was to demonstrate that it is possible to carry out active conservation measures of habitats and birds in 32 forest areas that cover more than 309 hectares of 5 private holders of FSC forest management certificates in collaboration with 2 land stewardship entities ..
3edata\\\'s work consisted in the identification and analysis of habitats of community interest and protected species in the forest areas targeted by the project (excluding birds), both in Galicia and in Asturias. As well as evaluating their conservation status and developing recommendations for the conservation and recovery of the identified habitats.
The project resulted in 2 land custody agreements between the owners and forest managers of the forest areas of Trabada (Lugo) and Santo Adriano (Asturias), which will allow the future implementation of conservation measures for habitats of community interest and birds present in the FSC certified areas .
