3edata participates in the Inventory of habitats and environmental units on the coast of Galicia, within the framework of the Plan to Promote the Environment (PIMA ADAPTA COSTAS). This work has been promoted by the Institute of Territorial Studies (IET) of the Galician DG for Environment, Territory and Housing, within the PIMA ADAPTA COSTAS 2017 financed by the Spanish Ministry of the Environment.


The purpose of PIMA ADAPTA COSTAS is to contribute to the development of the National Plan of Adaptation to Climate Change and the implementation of the Strategy for Adaptation of the Spanish Coast to Climate Change, contributing to detailed studies by coastal sections of regional extent, ensuring uniformity in the methodology applied to the generation, acquisition and compilation of data and the assessment of the vulnerability of the Spanish coast to climate change.


The work of 3edata consists of the elaboration of the habitat and environmental unit mapping in the coastal area, outside the Natural Areas Network, paying specific attention to marine and coastal type habitats, as well as those inland habitats that constitute the transitional ecotone to the mainland environment. The study area of this work covers more than 33 km2, distributed along the coastline of the provinces of A Coruña and Pontevedra,,
